Non-Surgical Canine Neutering The FDA has recently approved an injectable sterilizer for dogs. After reviewing the scientific reports for this product, I have decided that I will not be using it. The non-surgical neuter will reduce testosterone by only 42-50%. The testosterone is responsible for marking behavior, roaming and fighting behavior, testicular cancer, and prostate disease. Since this drug only reduces testosterone levels, while surgical neutering completely eliminates the hormone, I believe that surgical neutering remains the healthiest and best alternative for male dogs. Vaccine for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus The FDA has also approved a vaccine for the virus, which causes Feline AIDS. FIV is an infection that attacks the immune system of cats. Up to 1 in 12 cats tests positive for FIV. In cats that are at risk or clinically ill, the infection rate rises to as high as 15%. Since FIV infection results in immune deficiency, there are no classic or pathognomonic signs associated with the disease itself. In fact, many FIV positive cats have no specific clinical signs. If you would like more information on the vaccine or the clinical trials performed, please log on to: http://www.felovaxfiv.com. After dispensing over 27,000 vaccines with out a single anaphalacytic reaction, the FDA has approved this vaccine for national distribution. Vaccination reduces the risk of death to almost zero and reduces your treatment by 80 to 90%. Initially your dog needs 2 vaccinations, then an annual booster. Disease and Prevention: Giardia vaccine is a very safe subunit vaccine, meaning there is no whole live organism which could possibly make your pet ill. Protection is developed with 2 initial vaccines, then an annual booster. Giardia is one of the most common pathogens in dogs and cats. A recent study by Cornell University of 12,000 pets showed 20% of dogs and 10% of cats have Giardia. Giardia is ZOONOTIC - meaning it can be transmitted from animals to humans, especially children. Using the same freezing equipment and technique used in human medicine, warts, polyps, skin tags, and other skin masses can be removed The benefits of laser are IMMENSE, including less pain, less bleeding, less chance of infection, and faster recovery for
