Kayla Boyer, DVM Owner/ Doctor
Email drkboyer@speedwayvet.com
Dr. Boyer is a native of Oklahoma, where she attended the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 1995, Dr. Boyer practiced medicine in Maryland in a predominantly equine practice. Dr. Boyer decided to move to Arizona based on her experiences working on the Hopi Indian Reservation as an extern. She has been practicing small animal medicine exclusively since relocating to Tucson in 1996. Dr. Boyer enjoys the animal and human interaction of preventive medicine, and the diagnostic challenges of internal medicine. Her overall favorite area of veterinary care is in surgery. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Boyer enjoys outdoor activities, such as camping and hiking with her Doberman, Ruger.

Jaggers - Hey there human. I'm Jaggers. I'm the King of the World. At least, this world. I'm the REAL owner of Speedway Veterinary Hospital, but I permit the humans to think they are actually calling the shots. I've been supervising these humans for almost 4 of your years. I've inhabited this body for about 5 to 5-1/2 of your years. Every so often I donate a little blood to one of my brethren, and I permit the humans to practice their silly little CPR drills on me. I do get bored... They do it over and over and over again... like they just insist on getting it perfect every time. Oh Well... What's a superiorly intellectual feline to do?

Kimberly Rogan, CVT Kim is a Tucson native and recently moved back
here after living in Flagstaff for 3 years. She has been a Certified
Veterinary Technician since 1999 and has been working in this field
for 12 years. “I LOVE working with all types of pets and animals, but small
mammal exotic pets hold a special place in my heart.” She is currently
attending the University of Arizona (as a returning non-traditional student) for
her Animal Science Degree, and will be applying to several of the
western-most veterinary schools in 1 year. She and her partner, Sheila,
currently have 6 dogs and 5 cats, but their 4-legged family is ever expanding.
They spend their time hiking, camping, and studying.

Allison Edmonds- She has just graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology with a pre-health emphasis. Allison and her husband, Kyle, have recently moved to Tucson so that he can begin his first year of medical school at the U of A. Allison has been in the field for nearly five years and enjoys the opportunity to work with so many wonderful animals (and people) on a daily basis. She has two dogs, Heidi and Bonnie, and a cat, Ophelia

Blake Murray
I am a junior year student enrolled at the University of Arizona.  I am majoring in veterinary science with plans to apply to vet school in August of 2007.  I started working at Speedway Veterinary Hospital because I thought that it would be a good idea to get some experience in the veterinary field before I fully committed my life to it.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and hope someday to own a practice as nice as this one.  I really enjoy being able to connect with so many different animals on a daily basis, and I know without a doubt that this field is where I belong.  I have an adopted greyhound named Winston and two rescued cats, Maggie and Phoebe.  In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and piano, hiking, and going to the dog park.

Kathleen Clisham recently moved to the Tucson area from Chicago, Illinois. She is ecstatic to find a clinic with such a devotion to small animal care and a wonderful team to work with. Kathleen has worked in the veterinary industry for 6 years and has a true passion for the bond between humans and companion animals. She is currently earning a degree in Veterinary technology and an associate’s degree in Science. Kathleen has a Miniature Pinscher named Kahlua, a Chihuahua Malibu, Two Rottweilers Guinness and Tecate, five cats, Mortimer, Max, Patron, Whiskers and Sebastian, five doves and a parakeet. In her spare time she loves to design and create clothes and accessories for her pets.

Robin Creson has lived in Tucson, Arizona since 1991, originally from Fort Worth, Texas. Robin lives with her Husband RJ and their four “kids”: Puma, a fat but very happy and extremely spastic tabby cat; Smeeties, a stuck-up and self proclaimed “most gorgeous” calico cat; Dawn Chickles “Chickie” a Chihuahua rescue that has a personality all her own and no words could really do her justice; and last but not least, Hurley, a three-month-old lop eared bunny. Says Robin, “I am extremely happy to find such a great environment to work in with such amazing people and of course animals. In my free time I love watching horror movies and am always adding to our horror movie memorabilia collection, going on random road trips, and doing arts and crafts.” Robin is our Speedway team’s wonderful, caring multi-tasker in charge of the front desk. We are so very happy to have her be the first smile you see when you arrive at Speedway Vet.
